Negative: The restaurant was overpriced with little variety (several tuna or mushroom dishes but if you don’t fancy either there was limited choice). The service was poor compared with the hotel, particularly as we were hotel guests: no-one to welcome us or show us our table- just an offhand gesture of ‘sit anywhere’ when someone eventually appeared. We eat far better in the local town on the other two nights - and at half the price!

Positive: Excellent restaurant, good food and attentive staff. Breakfast is amazing with a good selection of food, each day served by a lovely waiter. The hotel is small, with only a few bedrooms but the restaurant can be busy and noisy with diners. Our bedroom was clean, small and basic. The hotel is beautiful, an old building with an attractive garden but with few facilities.
Negative: No kettle in the room, no outside area and the small window overlooked a busy roundabout and Burger King. It was next to the restaurant bathroom and the dryers were noisy and you could hear people using the bathroom throughout the day. There is no door between the bar/dining/reception area and our bedroom, some nights it was noisy until 1am.

Positive: The location was perfect. 10 minutes walk to a lovely beach. The hotel is a converted mill and it has been sympathetically restored. The breakfast was excellent and the restaurant was amazing. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Positive: Beautiful property. We loved the room and the property exuded charm. The location was great just a few minutes from the water and on Sunday there was an amazing flea market.
